Privacy Policy

Caillebotis Montréal inc. (“we”) places great importance on protecting your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights available to you, in accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

3. Information we collect

  • Quote request form: name, company, email address, phone number, project type and any details you choose to send us (measurements, plans, photos).
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages viewed, automatically recorded by our web host for security purposes and to keep the site running properly.
  • Cookies: see section 6.

We only collect the information needed for the purposes described below.

4. Purposes of collection

  • To respond to your requests and prepare your quotes;
  • To communicate with you about your project;
  • To ensure the security and proper operation of the site;
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Your information is never sold or rented.

5. Consent

By submitting the form and checking the box provided for this purpose, you consent to your information being used for the purposes described above. Your consent is manifest, free and enlightened, and you may withdraw it at any time by writing to the person responsible named in section 2.

6. Cookies

The site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function, for example to remember your consent choice. Only with your consent, we also use Google Analytics to measure site traffic in aggregate form. These audience measurement cookies remain disabled until you accept them through the banner displayed on your first visit.

  • Necessary — “cmplz_*” cookies (Complianz): remember your consent choices, kept for 12 months.
  • Statistics (with your consent) — “_ga” and “_ga_*” cookies (Google Analytics, Google LLC): distinguish visits and measure site usage, kept for up to 2 years. This data may be processed outside Québec.

7. Disclosure to third parties

We may entrust certain information to service providers who help us operate the site (web hosting, email delivery). These providers may only use your information for the intended purposes and must keep it confidential. Some of these providers may be located outside Québec; in such cases, we first assess whether your information will receive adequate protection.

8. Retention and security

Your information is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, that is, no more than three (3) years after our last exchange, unless the law requires a longer period (for example, for accounting records related to a contract), and is then securely destroyed. We apply reasonable security measures (restricted access, encrypted connections, strong passwords) to protect it against loss, theft and unauthorized access.

9. Your rights

Subject to the exceptions provided by law, you may:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • request that it be corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal;
  • withdraw your consent;
  • request that its dissemination cease or that it be de-indexed;
  • obtain a copy of your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.

To exercise these rights, write to the person responsible (section 2). We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

10. Confidentiality incidents

In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the persons concerned, and we keep a register of incidents as required by law.

We may amend this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
